If you're shopping for USC Los Angeles 2 bedroom rentals, you're probably weighing two things at once: how much you'll each pay, and how close you'll be to campus. Every listing below is a 2 bedroom posted on our USC off-campus housing page, and most are listed as under 5 minutes by car, so you can compare real prices and lease terms side by side.

USC Los Angeles 2 bedroom rentals: what's open right now

A two-bedroom is often the easiest shared setup to manage. With one roommate you split rent and utilities, you each get your own bedroom, and there are fewer schedules to coordinate than in a four or five bedroom house. The trade-off is that you're both on the hook if one of you leaves early, so the lease details matter as much as the floor plan.

Here are five 2 bedroom listings near USC that are posted right now. 1337 1/2 W. 24th Street L.A. , CA 90007 at $2,400/month is an unfurnished 2 bed, 1 bath on W 24th St, listed as under 5 minutes by car from campus, on a Year Lease (12 Months), with a timing of Available NOW. 2700 Ellendale at $2,200/month is a furnished 2 bed, 1 bath at 2700 Ellendale Pl, listed as under 5 minutes by car, on a Year Lease (12 Months), with a timing of July/August 2026. Large Bright Modern Units at $2,450/month is an unfurnished 2 bed, 1 bath apartment at 2666 Ellendale Pl, listed as under 5 minutes by car, with a lease of 6 months or more and a timing of Now. 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom & Den at $3,100/month is an unfurnished 2 bed, 2 bath at 1529 5th Ave, listed as 5 to 10 minutes by car, on a Year Lease (12 Months), with a timing of As of now. 1705 1/4 West 20th Street at $1,125/month is a furnished 2 bed, 1 bath on West 20th Street, listed as under 5 minutes by car, on a Biannual lease (6 months), with a timing of Available Now.

What 2 bedroom rentals near USC cost right now

Across these five listings, the posted rent runs from $1,125/month to $3,100/month. Four of them sit between $2,200/month and $3,100/month. If that's the price of the whole unit, each of you would pay half when two of you split it evenly. The listing on West 20th Street at $1,125/month is well below the others, so ask the lister directly whether that price is for the whole unit or for one bedroom before you plan around it.

Furnishing is the next thing to compare. Two of the five are furnished (2700 Ellendale Pl and West 20th Street) and three are unfurnished. If you'd be buying two beds, desks and a couch from scratch, an unfurnished place that's a little cheaper each month may cost more over your first year. If you already own furniture or plan to stay a few years, unfurnished often makes more sense.

The bathroom count is worth a look too. Only the listing at 1529 5th Ave has two bathrooms, and it also has a den, which could work as a study space. The other four are 2 bed, 1 bath. Sharing one bathroom is very doable with a single roommate, but talk about morning schedules before you sign rather than after.

Location is the last piece. Four of the five are listed as under 5 minutes by car from campus, and the 2 bed, 2 bath on 5th Ave is listed as 5 to 10 minutes. If you won't have a car, ask each lister how current tenants usually get to campus and how long it takes them, then decide whether that commute works for your class schedule.

USC Los Angeles 2 bedroom rentals: lease terms to compare

The lease length varies more than you might expect across USC Los Angeles 2 bedroom rentals. Three of the five here are on a Year Lease (12 Months), one is on a Biannual lease (6 months), and one is listed as 6 months or more. A 12-month lease gives you stability through the summer. A 6 month lease gives you an exit point mid-year, which can help if you're studying abroad, graduating in December, or still testing how well you live with your roommate.

Timing matters as well. Several of these listings say Now, Available Now or As of now, while 2700 Ellendale Pl lists July/August 2026, a date that's already passed. That doesn't mean it's taken, but you'll want to ask what move-in date and lease end date would apply if you signed this week. Get both dates in the lease, along with the rent and the deposit amount.

When two people rent together, also ask how the lease is set up. Some landlords put both names on one lease, which usually means each of you is responsible for the full rent if the other stops paying. Knowing that up front helps you choose a roommate carefully and agree on how you'll handle bills, guests and moving out.

If you pick a shorter lease, ask what happens at the end of it. Some landlords offer a renewal at the same rent, some raise it, and some expect you to move out. Knowing your options early gives you time to plan. The same goes for a 12-month lease: ask when you'd need to give notice if you don't plan to renew, and whether the lease rolls over to month-to-month afterward.

Tips for renting a 2 bedroom near USC

  • Confirm in writing whether the listed price is for the whole unit or one bedroom, and how many people the lease allows.

  • Agree with your roommate on how rent, utilities and internet will be split, and whose name each bill will go under, before you apply.

  • Ask for the exact move-in and lease end dates that would apply now, especially where the listed timing has already passed.

  • See the unit in person or by live video and read the full lease, including renewal, subletting and early termination terms, before you pay a deposit.
